UPVC spraying requires dry conditions and temperatures above 4°C.
Light rain can sometimes be worked around, but heavy rain, frost, snow or very cold temperatures are not suitable for spraying.
If weather conditions are unsuitable, the job will be safely rescheduled to ensure a durable, high-quality finish.
Minimum Weather Conditions for UPVC Spraying
For best results, UPVC spraying should be carried out when:
- Temperature – 4°C or above
- Surfaces – Completely dry and masked to prevent further exposure to moisture
- Weather – No heavy rain, frost, snow or strong winds
These conditions allow the coating to bond correctly and cure as intended.
Can UPVC Be Sprayed in Light Rain?
In some cases, light or intermittent rain can be managed during UPVC spray painting by:
- Spraying sheltered elevations e.g. doors in porches, windows under awnings etc.
- Working under temporary protection e.g. gazebos
- Timing application around dry spells
This is assessed on the day and depends on exposure and property layout.
