Process and Timeframes

How long does UPVC spraying take?

The duration will depend on the size of your property but a typical spray project can be completed in a single day.

Can all types of UPVC be sprayed?

Most UPVC surfaces in reasonable condition can be sprayed. However, severely damaged, very old or degraded UPVC may not be suitable, but we can scrape this off if required.

We’ll assess the condition during our survey and advise accordingly.

Can you spray my UPVC when it’s cold or raining?

We do need dry conditions and temperatures of minimum 4°C to ensure optimal spray paint results, however we can work in areas with light rain if necessary. We’ll reschedule if weather conditions are unsuitable.

Will I need to vacate my property during the spraying process?

You are free to remain in your property throughout the entire process. We use low-VOC paints and take thorough precautions to contain overspray. A majority of our spraying will completed outdoors, but if we are required to spray indoors for whatever reason we can make use of a high-powered exhaust fan which will remove any lingering fumes.

We do recommend keeping windows closed during spraying and for 2-3 hours afterwards.

Will I need to cover or prep anything myself?

We will handle all the preparation work, so you won’t have to do a thing! Our team will clean, mask and protect all surrounding areas.

Can you spray other materials besides UPVC?

Yes, we are actually able to also effectively spray fibreglass garage doors and aluminium bi-fold doors with the same expertise and precision as with UPVC spraying. So spraying different areas of your home won’t be a problem.

Durability and Quality

How long does the UPVC spray coating last?

When properly applied, our UPVC coatings can last 10 to 15 years. During this time and with proper maintenance, the finish will remain colour-stable and weather-resistant.

Can you match any colour I want?

Yes, we can match virtually any colour using our specialist mixing system. This includes RAL colours, British Standard colours and custom matches to existing features of your property.

What type of paint do you use?

We use a professional-grade, 2K UPVC-specific coatings designed for exterior use. These are specially formulated to bond with UPVC surfaces including window frames, sills, garage panels etc. and provide long-lasting durability.

Our preferred 2K UPVC paint is also much more durable and less prone to failing than the standard 1K paint used by many other UPVC spray paint companies.

Is the UPVC paint weather-resistant?

Our UPVC coatings are highly resistant to weather conditions like rain, frost, UV rays and general temperature changes. This ensures a long-lasting, smooth finish that will not fade, peel or crack under normal weather conditions.

Are there any colours you wouldn’t recommend for UPVC spraying?

The decision on what colour to spray your property is completely down to you. We will however, provide you with some info and insight as to what the different options available to you might entail such as dark colours absorbing more heat.

We provide a 10-year warranty on our work, covering adhesion, colour stability and weather resistance. This warranty is fully transferable if you sell your property.

Maintenance and Aftercare

How should I clean and maintain the sprayed surfaces?

Once your UPVC spray has completely dried, regular cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft cloth every few months will not only prevent the build-up of grime and dirt but will also go a long way in maintaining the fresh finish.

Are there any cleaning products I should avoid using?

When cleaning your UPVC windows, doors, garages etc. avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and harsh chemicals. These can damage the painted surface. Our team will provide detailed care instructions after completion so you can have complete clarity on how to maintain the new look of your property.

What should I do if I notice any defects after the work is completed?

Contact us immediately if you notice any issues. Our warranty covers spray defects and we’ll inspect and rectify any legitimate problems promptly.

Can damaged areas be touched up if needed?

If required, our technicians will be happy to provide touch ups on small areas of damage.

How often should the surfaces be resprayed?

With proper maintenance, respraying shouldn’t be necessary for at least 10 to 15 years. However, some customers may choose to refresh the colour after this period.

Environmental and Safety

Are the fumes from the paint dangerous?

The paints we use are low in VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and safe when properly applied. While they do have a mild odour during application, they’re not harmful under normal conditions with proper ventilation which is provided due to the open-air spray process.

How long do the fumes take to dissipate?

Any paint odours typically dissipate within 2-3 hours after application. We recommend keeping windows closed during spraying and for a few hours afterwards to ensure not only the best finish possible, but to also prevent fumes from making their way indoors.

Will the paint provide any threat to children, pets or plants?

Not at all – once the paint has dried it is completely safe for children, pets and plants. During application, we take numerous precautions to protect your garden areas and also recommend keeping pets indoors or away from the spraying area until the work is complete.

How do you dispose of waste materials?

All waste materials are disposed of responsibly following environmental guidelines. We recycle where possible and ensure any hazardous materials are disposed of through licensed waste carriers.
